Dr. Baba Mohammed
Dr. Emmanuel Agogo is the Director of Pandemic Threats at FIND (Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics), he leads strategic efforts for pandemic diagnostic preparedness. Prior to his role at FIND, He held key positions in public health leadership, surveillance and Global Health Security in Nigeria and Africa. As the Deputy Director at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), he played a pivotal role in strengthening the country's disease surveillance and response systems. Additionally, he served as the Country Director for Resolve to Save Lives in Nigeria, where he spearheaded initiatives aimed at preventing cardiovascular diseases and strengthening health systems. He worked as a WHO consultant on JEE missions in several countries and advised the Africa Risk Capacity on Pandemic preparedness and Pandemic financing.
In addition to his medical degree from University of Ibadan Nigeria, he holds a Master of Science in Primary and Community Health and a Master's in Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and an Honorary Member of the Faculty of Public Health, UK. He has also held the Emerging Biosecurity Leadership fellowship from Johns Hopkins, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Leadership fellowship, and the Kofi Anan Public Health Africa CDC Leadership Fellowship. He has co-authored a book chapter in a book Urban Surveillance in addition to over 30 peer reviewed papers. He is an adjunct professor at the Global Health Institute, Nasarawa State University.
