Roles and Responsibilities of our Members

Membership Eligibility
NESUG’s Membership Framework provides the following benefits to all categories of members:

  1. Expert Contributors: Professionals with expertise in environmental sustainability, policy advocacy, or technical innovation.
  2. .Consortium Members: Organizations with a proven track record in environmental governance, funding, or technical support.
  3. Eco Champions and MSMEs: Small businesses or individuals engaged in or interested in driving local sustainability solutions.

 

Roles and Responsibilities of our Members

  1. Expert Contributors
    Description: Professionals and subject matter experts who collaborate with NESUG’s commissions and working groups. Their specialized knowledge drives thematic projects, research, and capacity-building efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in NESUG’s commissions and focus groups.
  • Provide expert advice for policy development, project design, and implementation.
  • Contribute to research, technical reviews, and capacity-building initiatives.

Engagement Opportunities:

  • Serve as speakers or thought leaders at NESUG events, workshops, and advocacy campaigns.
  • Collaborate on projects that align with their expertise.

      2. Consortium Members

Description: Industries, donor agencies, and multilateral organizations committed to environmental sustainability. Consortium members co-develop transformative projects, policies, and advocacy programs.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial resources, technical expertise, and other forms of support for NESUG’s initiatives.
  • Partner with NESUG on programs in renewable energy, circular economy, WASH, and public health.
  • Influence decision-making processes that strengthen NESUG’s strategic outcomes.


Engagement Opportunities:

  • Collaborate on high-impact advocacy campaigns and sustainable development projects.
  • Gain visibility through NESUG’s events, publications, and partnerships.
  • Participate in tailored programs aligning with their organizational sustainability goals.


3.Eco Champions and MSMEs
Description: Grassroots innovators, small businesses, and community leaders driving local sustainability solutions. NESUG empowers these members with opportunities to scale their initiatives.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Implement innovative, grassroots solutions to address environmental challenges.
  • Partner with NESUG and larger organizations on joint projects and ventures.
  • Drive local action in areas such as renewable energy, waste management, sustainable agriculture, and green technology.


Engagement Opportunities:

  • Access to training, capacity-building workshops, and mentorship programs.
  • Secure funding and collaboration opportunities to scale initiatives.
  • Represent grassroots solutions in NESUG-led projects for broader visibility.
